“ We found this spot after reading an article about the best steak houses in Missouri and Hamilton's truly takes the cake! The steaks are perfectly cooked, and the honey whipped ricotta with seared scallops is the appetizer to get. We've never had bad service, but if you can sit in Charles' section, your experience will be beyond elevated. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Love Hamiltons! ”

“ Recommend 10 out of 10! The decor is great (especially the dried grapevines that hang from the ceiling). Our server was EXCELLENT. He explained the menu and even gave us a little background on the surrounding neighborhood. The food - a whole other level. From the warm bread, to the scallop appetizer, to the main course - exceptional. Great place for a date night or get together with friends. ”

“ We sat in the bourbon room. The weather was nice and they didn't have the outside part exposed, maybe they have temperature restrictions and it was slightly too cold. The dining area we were in was a walk away from the main dining area, we walked through the attached bar and into the bourbon room. Interesting layout but not bothersome. Our waiter was great. We had never been so he talked us through the Hamiltons food group, mentioned some other restaurants in the group that I had heard of before. The steaks were great, we have had better but great nonetheless. The bread they have us beforehand was amazing with smoky salt. ”

“ GREAT STEAKHOUSE FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION (A note - I have been here three times and it has always been CONSISTENT. Always 5 stars!) Ambiance Very dark and moody atmosphere. Has a rustic decor. Hard to explain but you can tell that the steaks will be good. When you walk in, you'll see an extensive shelf of bourbon that will make you drool. Service Always been greeted immediately when entering by a nice host. I would recommend having a reservations since it is not a huge place. The server is very knowledgeable on the specials and give solid recommendation on hat steak would be best. A manager has always walked the floor and checked in around middle of dinner! Food While this place has a wide array of steaks, they do have other options (seafood, chicken, pork chop, and one main vegetarian dish!) They pride themselves in sourcing high quality steaks that are 30-day aged. I have personally tried the Ribeye, Filet mignon, and Porterhouse Steak. They all have been extremely well flavored and cooked to your preference. They do let you add on a variety of sauces and butters. I personally didn't enjoy the butters but recommend getting a sauce if you want. They are very well seasoned by themselves. Really up to your preference. The food is a big portion so I don't generally get an appetizer but I did tried the scallops... It was delicious. Sides are shareable. Recommend any of the potatoes dishes and Mac n Cheese! The best desert is the bread pudding. Hard to explain the texture but it is exactly what you would want! ”

“ This is my favorite steakhouse in STL. I love Paul & Wendy Hamilton's restaurants! We recently celebrated Ace's birthday at Hamilton's Steakhouse in St. Louis. The ambiance, while a bit dimly lit, provided a great setting and awesome food for a special occasion. I opted for the Sesame Encrusted Seared Ahi Tuna. #stlouispescatarianapproved The red onion-carrot slaw crunch came with it and I love me a good crunch. It also had a tangy pickle relish and crispy wontons. For my salad, I had the wedge with blue cheese, tomato, red onion, sherry vinaigrette, and ranch. I was craving a wedge salad. Ace, true to form, couldn't resist the allure of the flesh and went for a bone-in full pound pork chop. Judging by the contentment on his face, it was exactly what he had hoped for--juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. They brought him out bread pudding for his Bday! Perfect! ”

“ From the moment speaking to them on the home until we departed, it was a great experience. Friendly staff and super accommodating waitstaff... even with little kids. The food was locally grown and explained in detail about not only this restaurant, but the others in the community as well. Steaks were perfectly cooked and appetizers were delish. The only negative and it is minor, is that there was not a kids menu. However they accommodated us in every way with splits and choices. The cocktail choices were excellent and the bathrooms were sparkling clean. We will come back and I suggest this place as a go to steakhouse. ”

“ My favorite Steakhouse.. Hamilton's hold a special place for me bc I've celebrated many milestones here. And each time I've visited, it's never been a regret. I'm not a steak girlie, but a steakhouse cut of pork, lamb, or chicken is where you'll find me. My last time here, I went with the salmon. Exquisite! We always sit in The Wine room. It's a little more intimate and private, located just off the main dining. I believe there's about six tables in this room and usually go fast, so reservations are highly recommended. Hamilton's also has outside seating just off The Wine Room for those comfortable, airy nights. The service never lacks. Drinks are never watered down. And I always leave a full, happy girl. Recommendations - Crab Cakes - Bourbon-BBQ Glazed Pork Belly - Double Cut Bone-In Pork Chop - Bourbon Glazed Carrots - Creamy Mac-n-Cheese - Roasted Dry Rubbed Salmon ”

“ This was my favorite stop in St. Louis. Truly can't say enough about this small, independent restaurant. Simply put, they did everything well. And our server, Wonder, was excellent. The charcuterie was a 5 star meal on its own. Smoked meats. House made tapenade. Exceptional cheeses. And a pork fat candle that can be used as a butter. Unique. Delicious. Their meats are sourced from small Midwest farms. And it shows. With just a little flaked salt, the meat has all the flavor in the world. And the button mushrooms were an excellent accompaniment. Great wine list. Fantastic cheesecake. 5 stars. ”
